Agent Facebook Marketing Made Easy!

I am going to start a new program to help you as an agent, easily keep a great Facebook page!  I know within our agent base that we have a wide variety of Facebook readiness levels.  Whether you are a Facebook beginning or a seasoned pro, finding time and the ideas to post about insurance on your fan page can be difficult.

I update my personal FB page daily.  It’s easy because, honestly, it’s not that important.  When branding your agency on FB, it definitely requires more thought.

When you fan MIBS on FB, you will now start seeing posts that start with “AGENT IDEA”.  That means that it is a post idea that you can use on your page.  Other post I have on the MIBS FB page will be information for you, as an agent.

Since every agency is different, it is important to make sure you are using the posts that only apply to your agency.  For example, if you focus on life and health, and I post and AGENT IDEA on Personal Lines coverage, obviously that would not be a good fit for your agency.  I hope the concept is simple and will help you get started in a new marketing medium.

Remember that FB marketing is about letting people know you and your agency along with important information.  It’s not all about claims paid, product, etc.  Your fans should learn about you and your agency through your FB relationship.  Have some fun with it!
